Starting the day with productive activities in the morning: laundry!. Accompanied by the rain and thunder that pour in the Coconut Ivory (intentionally translate the name lol) area, this morning's laundry activities were the same as usual. After 3 months of being abroad, laundry is one of the activities that I look forward to the most. Because it helps distract my mind off stressful things. Very pleasant.
After I finished laundry and the rain also stop, I did another productive activity: looking for candidates for boarding houses. Why? As a newly unemployed person, I need to reduce expenses and consider looking for a cheaper boarding house. I call it one of the tips for survival hahaha. After visiting the 3 candidates, it turns out that all the rooms are on the 4th floor lol. There is a price for quality: the room is on the top floor (quite far and steep), quite small in size, and a little dirty. After much consideration, I finally decided not to move and continue to rent my current room.
I continued my journey today to Sunter Mall. One destination that I have scheduled since a few days ago: Verina Risoles!. Yes, authentic snacks from Pekanbaru, me and Papa's favorite snacks. It turns out thatVerina Risoles has several branches in Indonesia, and Jakarta is one of them. The closest one to where I live is at the Sunter Mall outlet. Arriving at the location, I went straight to the Verina Risoles outlet and bought the famous chicken rissole, one of their signature menus. And sure enough, the taste is the same as the risoles in Pekanbaru. Every bite of this risoles makes me touched and want to cry because I'm so happy to finally be able to taste food with "taste of home".
For almost 3 months, the only food that has a "home" taste that I have tasted is Nasi Goreng Jawa/Surabaya which I bought online. Almost every night I order Javanese fried rice/noodles because other foods seem foreign to my stomach. Yes, my stomach is very sensitive to food: the texture of rice, the texture of fried onions, the taste of cayenne pepper, and many other foods that my tongue is very sensitive to.
After Verina Risoles, I decided to go to Sbx to continue my work. Accompanied by a glass of hot chamomile tea, I finally created a short article about my Tuesday story.
May we all always be given health and the opportunity to be able to enjoy our days and don't forget to be grateful!
